City Council Seat Available

 

Bellbrook City Council is currently accepting resumes to appoint a City Council Member to fill an unexpired term.  This term expires on December 31, 2019. 

  

All candidates must be a registered voter and a resident of the City of Bellbrook, residing inside the City limits for at least one year prior to petition filing date. 

City Council meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 PM, and other meetings as required.  City Council members receive a compensation of $4,000 per year. 

  

Interested candidates must submit a resume and cover letter to the address below.  Resumes will be accepted until June 28, 2019.

Running for Mayor or City Council

 

Every odd year in November, council member seats and the Mayor are up for election. The Mayor serves a two year term and council members serve overlapping four year terms ending on December 31. Therefore, each council election, the Mayor and three council member seats are on the ballot for election.

 

Requirements include being a resident of Bellbrook for one year prior to filing a petition of candidacy.  The Mayor or Council members cannot hold any other Municipal office or be an employee of the City of Bellbrook during the term of office.
